Withersdane has some 20 acres and 320 rooms spread across a sprawling estate. This means we have been able to develop a number of different treatment programs with very individual distinct features but make them available all on the same site. This gives an opportunity for people to chose and even to move between different programs as they want different things from treatment.

Some people are looking for intensity and others are looking for longer stays. There are three different primary care programmes on offer here at Withersdane.

Having stabilised in a primary care program, people often look for somewhere to explore how they are going to be able to practice what they have just learned when they are back in the outside world. Offering therapeutic support but with an emphasis on developing a way forward, secondary care still offers residential support and therapy but with plenty of experience outside the clinic.

For people who have completed treatment but want a safe community, we offer a volunteers village. Here there is a chance to live with others in the first year of recovery whilst going out to work each day or volunteering at Withersdane.
